GetData’s Recover My Files Version 3.98
Now Supports More than 300 File Types

GetData’s Recover My Files Version 3.98, it’s acclaimed, award winning data recovery software, now features expanded support for more than 300 files types.

Recover My Files will recover any type of PC file but now has specific support for more than 300 file types, including Word documents, PowerPoints, emails, , PDF, iPOD, MP3, video files, CAD, RIFF and OLE, Zip files and a wide range of graphics file types.

Recover My Files’ preview screen allows users to search for missing files and confirm they can be found, before requiring payment for the purchase of a product license.

Recover My Files, acclaimed as the world’s most thorough data recovery tool, has won a number of PC magazines Best Product Awards, a 2005 National Consensus Software Award and a State Export Business Award.

It is currently available through retail stores in six European markets, Japan, Australia and the US.

“While we have steadily upgraded file formats and other elements of the application over the past three years, this will be the single largest series of upgrades this year. Most are in response to feedback from our 100,000 plus customers worldwide, others we’ve wanted to implement for some time,” Mr. Hunter added.

Site and Global Licenses

Also in response to customer demands, GetData now offers a series of site licensing and global licensing for the Enterprise markets for Recover My Files.

“As queries grew we realised we had to move to some Enterprise packages beyond our original 50+ users at US$17 per user,” Mr. Hunter explained.

“A site license for Recover My Files costs US$1999.95. This price covers all PC's including mobile users from one site location, for example a university campus would be classed as a single site even though there may be many buildings on the campus.

“However, if the university campus was located in two cities that would require two site licenses.

“A Global License covers multiple site licenses and costs US$9,999.95 USD. This covers any PC within an organisation anywhere around the globe.

“What has given Recover My Files an edge over any other data recovery software is that it combines simplicity of use and speed with the most powerful data recovery engine on the market, together with its unique “on-the-fly” capability of viewing recovered files while the search is being conducted.”
About Recover My Files

Recover My Files can recover deleted or lost files – whether accidentally or through virus infection, formatting of hard drives, system shutdowns or software failure.

The application not only recovers hard-drive data but also deleted files from floppy disks, zip drives, compact flash, smart media, including iPOD and other music files, and other removable media.
Recover My Files is compatible with Windows XP and works with FAT 12, FAT 16, FAT 32 and NTFS file-systems.
John Hunter explained when a file is deleted from a Windows Operating System or when a hard drive is accidentally formatted the contents of the files are not destroyed.

“It is usually only the Windows file reference information that is destroyed. Our data recovery software scans the storage media at a low level to locate deleted files by their internal file structure,” GetData’s John Hunter explained.

“This allows Recover My Files to locate and recover files that other data recovery software programs could never know existed. It also provides a comprehensive filter of search results from your hard drive or other media that allows you to search for specific deleted files based on their type, size, content, date of creation or filename.

“The only instance in which it cannot recover deleted files is if the computer user has overwritten the data. In that case the data is unrecoverable.”
