Steps Up Global Expansion

GetData, the world leader in data recovery software, has announced three international appointments to their development team as part of their global expansion.

The Sydney based software developer, with more than 100,000 clients worldwide, is also about to appoint a major new distributor for a number of European markets, move into the UK online market and announce a number of new software applications.

GetData Software’s Recover My Files is already distributed in the US and Australian retail markets, is the leading data recovery product in Japan and has retail distribution in five European markets.

“We’ve had very steady growth in major markets around the world through a combination of our retail sales for Recover My Files, Explorer View and Recover My Photos and online sales for more of our 12 top applications,” Managing Director, John Hunter, explained today.

“But we believe we can step up the pace of our growth and expansion in to a number of other markets both online and through retail. The company has 14 websites, including www.getdata.com and a .com site for each of its products.

“We are constantly upgrading our products and looking at a range of new ones including additions to our range of Repair applications and improvements to our productivity tool, Explorer View. We’ve searched carefully for the most suitable software engineers that will fit in with our range of products and future development.

International Search For Software Engineers

Their search for the right software engineers took them to South Africa, Russia and New Zealand.

Vladimer Sukholinin graduated from the State University, Tbilisi, in the Georgia, with a Diploma in Physics (MSc equivalent).

He then completed a Ph.D at the Institute of Chemical Physics, Moscow, in Physics and Mathematics

For 18 years’ his scientific experience included the fields of Holography, Laser Interferometry, High Mathematics (including Statistics and Regression Analyses), Creep Theory, Stress Concentration and Engineering Computing.

For the past seven years he has worked for Attaché Software in New Zealand.

Derick Greeff came from South African financing software house Personalised Systems and Services but has also worked for Deutsche Bank on their Forex trading system.

He also worked in Great Britain and the US on retail software development.

South African born Kevin Lock worked for MSC Shipping Company based in Durban Systems analyst, database and network administrator and GroData in Johannesburg, specialising in business accounting software.

In Britain he worked for DA Systems developing real-time software for the courier industry.

He joined IMS Health in Sydney in 2003 as a systems analyst and to develop a Medical Data Editor for use by IMS in the analysis of Australia-wide information from doctors’ surgeries.
