Ms. Seidler starts immediately with GetData with a primary focus on the company’s rapidly growing European online and retail markets through their English language .com and French and German language websites.
“We will shortly launch Spanish and Chinese language sites as well,” GetData Managing Director John Hunter said today.
GetData has a series of .com websites for its main products, Recover My Files, Recover My Photos, The Computer Security Tool, Explorer View and Burn My Files.
The company already has retail deals for Recover My Files in the US, Japan, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium and The Netherlands.
“Sybille’s fluent in German, Dutch and French and speaks some Russian, and she knows the European markets very well. She brings an important range of skills and knowledge to the role,” Mr. Hunter added.
“We will be at CeBIT Australia this year and probably CeBIT Hanover next year so all of this fits in nicely.”
Ms. Seidler was part of Lufthansa’s “Internet On Board” development and marketing team that introduced in-flight internet use. She has also worked for Canon Australia, MLC Limited, Aquin AG (Germany), Hitachi and CompTIA (Computer Technology Industry Association).
“We have so far only scratched the surface of the potential that is ‘hidden’ in the European market. In 2006 we have to expand our network of partners, our resellers and distributors, with a strong focus on GetData's strength and that is their Internet download sales of all their products,” Ms. Seidler said.
“We want to strengthen the position of GetData and its products on the international market - raise brand awareness, and bundle products lines to reach a broader range of customers and penetrate the market with GetData suites of software. GetData will announce a number of new product releases over the next three months.”
